About our Camps
W.A.F.F.L.E.S. Community Robotics is a not-for-profit organization. Since 2014, we have run LEGO robotics summer camps to suit a variety of ages, experience levels, and interests.
We strive to create programs that blend fun activities with engaging lessons and the hands-on application of learning. In our camps, students have the opportunity to work on projects independently and in groups for a well-rounded experience. Our staff is comprised of knowledgeable students and alumni from our robotics teams, and often are able to work one-on-one with students to teach them in their areas of interest.
Summer Day Camp questions can be sent to camp@wafflesrobotics.com. Bursaries are available for families in financial need.

A range of fun and educational activities will introduce campers to the world of science, technology, engineering, arts and math!
Session 2: July 17-21 – Explore the World of Energy (Ages 6-9 yrs old) * two spots remain
Together we will learn the importance of “Core Values” as we use LEGO to explore the engineering process and build teamwork skills. This camp is designed to introduce the fundamentals of engineering through real-world problem solving. Using LEGO® bricks and powered by the LEGO® Education SPIKE Essential and WeDo kits, students will learn to design, code, and create unique solutions. A range of fun and educational activities will explore the entire energy journey. Where energy comes from to how energy is used and all the steps in between.
Session 3: July 24-28 – LEGO Challenge, Building Cities of the Future (Ages 9-14 yrs old) * NOW FULL, add name to waitlist
Building, programming and teamwork challenges will provide fun learning opportunities for campers. Students will gain valuable time management, communication and problem solving skills as they design and program their LEGO robots to complete a variety of challenges. A range of fun and educational activities will introduce campers to the world of engineering! How can we shape a better future for everyone? It will take teamwork and imagination. Are you ready to build a better tomorrow together?
Session 4: August 7-11 – Young Innovators B (Ages 4-6 yrs old) * two spots remain

Session 5: August 14-18 – LEGO Explorers, MISSION MOON (Ages 6-9 yrs old) * NOW FULL, add name to waitlist
In the FIRST® LEGO League Mission Moon camp, your child will learn about living on the moon and the associated challenges. Campers work in teams to construct and program a moving LEGO model to show what they learned! At the end of the week, campers have the opportunity to share their projects in a friendly setting. Fun games and activities throughout the week keep their minds sharp and bodies active. This camp is a great introduction to basic programming, building, and engineering techniques, while developing teamwork and communication skills. It’s the perfect balance of fun and education!
Session 6: August 21-25 – LEGO STEAM Stimulation (Ages 9-14 yrs old) * two spots remain
In this camp, participants will learn all about STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math! Each day introduces a different letter of the acronym and campers complete various projects related to the field. Campers have the flexibility to keep their projects simplistic, or add on something more advanced! Hands-on activities and lessons with engaging applications make this camp a great balance between fun and educational. This camp also provides an introduction to basic and more advanced programming techniques while strengthening soft skills including teamwork and communication.
