FIRST LEGO League Explore

Build a motorized LEGO model around a real-world theme, in teams of up to six.

Registration closedThe fall 2026 session is underway.

It’s never too early to discover STEM.

The W.A.F.F.L.E.S. FIRST LEGO League Explore program for ages 6-9 was founded in 2008. It introduces science, technology, engineering and math concepts to kids ages 6 to 9. Guided by our student coaches, teams of up to 6 students explore a real-world scientific theme such as oceans, recycling or archeology.

They also construct a motorized model of what they learned using LEGO elements. In the process, teams learn about teamwork, the wonders of science and technology, and the FIRST LEGO League Explore Core Values, which include respect, sharing, and critical thinking.
